ok, I know this one is off the wall...

I have wine installed and it works fine... the problem is this: I have a laptop with a wide screen. most of the apps I use in wine work fine on my lappy and render in their own respective window no prob. however there is the occasional game I play (such as diablo 2) in which the game tries to open in full screen mode... normally I'd not care but for some of these games they are stretched out and kind of distract me...

My question; is it possible to create a seperate configuration for these games that open in a "virtual desktop" with it's own set resolution while the other programs open as they normally would?

I know that in winecfg I can set it to use a virtual desktop the way I like but the problem with this is it is globally set, ie: if I set the virtual desktop settings ALL programs conform to that desktop and not just the programs I WANT to use it...
