WINE - CONFIG File, can't find it to do first config
I just installed WINE, and from what I can see everything has been installed (no where as many files as windows though) and I now need to go through the configuration file and set everything up.

However, the directory doesn't seem to exist. I go to /.wine/config and I get an error message, but that's where I'm told the file should be.

I'm using the Fedora Core 4, and I installed it via the rpm.

Thanks for all help.

I think the current wine is configured through a program called winecfg, and settings are appended to the fake windows registry instead of the wine config file. I believe you should be able to just type "winecfg" at the command line and it will pop up if installed correctly. However, the winecfg isn't exactly fully featured yet, so if you cannot find a sample configuration file on your system (I couldn't), and want to use the normal config file, you could always look a sample up on google, then modify it to your liking and save it in ~/.wine as config.

Hope this helps,
