Wine and Masters of Magic

I try to run Masters of Magic with wine, and this is the error I get:

Warning: unprotecting the first 64KB of memory to allow real-mode calls.
NULL pointer accesses will no longer be caught.
fixme:ddraw:VGA_SetWindowStart Install VGA memory emulation.

Yes, I have wine working, it took me 2 days of painful concentration but it does work. I can run several other aps including notepad, almost got Dungeon Seige to install, etc..
I get the above error when I try to run a couple of older direct draw games, Masters of Magic, Romance 3, Master of Orion 2, etc... Almost identical error.

I run Mandrake 9.1 here is my wine.config:

Run Master of Magic in DOSemu (it's an old DOS game, isn't it?)
It works awesome !

Don't think it will run in wine.

The problem has to do with high/extended(?) memory (which is too archaic and messy for me to go into detail about) There are problems playing it on even Windows95/98, so its only natural that it wouldnt run on Wine. Listen to vmicho and use a DOS emu (has anyone tried this? does it work?)
BTW, I cant beleive an update/sequel to this still hasnt been made...

I keep meaning to try it, but I am uncertain on how to install and configure DOSEmu and I don't really have a lot of free time to spend on it at the present. If anyone knows of any good install FAQ's, other than what is on their website, please post it.

Thanks

Hey VMICHO. You're from Slovakia? Know any Semonick's? My family came to America from there 2 generations ago, just before WWII.

Hi, yes I'm from slovakia but don't know anyone from Semonick's.

And, yes, I tried MoM from dosemu. It worked, and with sound or music (dunno which one, cuz in w98 I got only music, on my old machine with DOS I got music and eventually with SFX, but it slowed down). You must set up some XMS and EMS in the dosemu conf file (options are there, just put some values, cuz they are at 0 usually).
Best you get dosemu binaries, just unpack and run. I don't remember any more details yet.
