wine and mandrake 9.1
 

Hi, i've been trying out wine on Mandrake 9.1 but I don't think I have it properly configured. I first tried it with my existing winXP partition but then realized that i needed win ME or lower to get it to work right so I downloaded winesetuptk to have it make a fake windows drive for me. Ive tried a few applications that i read about on some wine compatibility sites but I can't even install most of them (and the rest dont work). Most installations tell me that i have windows 95 and that it is not supported. Are there any know issues with Mandrake? or perhaps i need to install winelib or some other utility? thanks

mandrake 9.1 comes with a buggy version of wine. get the latest release and you're sorted. Or at least as sorted as you ever are when you're trying to deal with windoze ;)
