Wine and app installation

I'm having a VERY WEIRD problem with wine.

I just did a clean install of Fedora 10. I added wine and then proceded to install World of Warcraft via "$wine Installer.exe". At that point, WoW keeps auto-updating and running on its own. In Fedora 9, WoW put an icon on the desktop. In 10, it placed the icon under "Other" in the Applications menu.

But this is what's strange - I click the icon and WoW doesn't start up. So I go to check out the .wine directory to confirm the installation path - and there's nothing there. I start up the installer again to see what would happen - and the installer gives me the option of uninstalling or Playing!

So, it's gotta be installed SOMEWHERE. I did a search on my system and couldn't find anything. The only thing I did strange is I installed it at the cli as root.

What should I look for?

So it's most probably installed in /root/.wine/.....

Yeah, that's exactly what it was. I would have thought that it would have done the same thing in Fedora 9. This is the first time I've seriously messed with Wine. I just got into the habit of using root for installing everything. I thought the application would be installed globally.
