What is the best wine in running windows games that are using directx 8.1 or 9 and where can I download it?
I tryied to download Transgaming's Winex but the commands that they give u on the site , gives me an error!

The site says:
" $ cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.winex.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/winex login
Hit Enter when prompted for a password
$ cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.winex.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/winex co wine "
When I get prompted for the password and hit enter, it gives me an error somethin like connection reset by peer or somethin like that !

Can anyone help me?

WineX is the best version for games. You type this " $ cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.winex.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/winex login", then press enter. Then type "cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.winex.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/winex co wine". Should work, and has done for me...

well when i hit enter when i get prompted the password it gives me an error : "Connection reset by peer !" or somenthin like "Connection aborted ..."
Anyone knows why does it give me that error???

I tried getting wine-x too -- followed what IONSTORM said... but here's what happened (a simular error to the above post by rrr-jr)
