I am trying to install wine file:/Wine-20040813-i686-S10 on my slackware 10.0 I have unpacked the tarball using the tar command and when I try to run ./tools/wineinstall as it say s to do in the readme am getting "command not found", I try to run ./config and I am still getting "command not found". I ham hoping someone can help me with this.

And you are in the /Wine* directory when you run this command?

I have the whole program right on top of my desktop, I am draggin it over to a terminal and I left click to get the directory, and than I click on cd and that has been getting me into the directroy

I am also gefile:/root/Desktop/Wine-20040813-i686-S10tting a error message of 1276 when , how could I make sure that I am in the right directory for running ./config. I would really appreciat ethe help.

You don't have to unpack anything, simply open the terminal, cd to the directory where the Wine source archive is, and "installpkg Wine-20041019-i486-S10.tgz" (with the right name for the archive of course).
That's all, then the config is a little trickier, I'm still trying to get it work :P

TRy winesetuptk you can downlaoad it from www.sourceforge.net, I tried the command that you gave me and it worked. Thanks, now I can get notepad and regedi, I would like to outlook express does anyone know the command?

Thanks, I'll give it a try... actually, I found this rpm but non in sourceforge, now I must download some library to try and install it, let's hope this works ^^
