mount the cd manually with the 'mount' command.

man mount for the man pages and more options, etc. Also try searching this forum, this is asked quite frequently. And what does mounting a cd have to do with wine? Is it a cd with windows only programs?

It won't read it because most likely the software on it is for Windows only. Is it drivers your trying to install or software on it you want to install? If its either, your probably not going to have much luck getting them to work unless you hack away at it and have them load up thru wine, etc.

What kind of camera is it, might already be a driver for use in Linux and also other software tools you can use instead of the ones provided on the cd.

My camera is a HP Photosmart C130

The thing is it used to work on Mandrake, but when i moved onto SuSE it didn't work with gphoto2..... Mandrake is fairly easy, i would just connect the USB and it would automatically download it..

Mabye i can use the old mandrake cd to get it on here... how would i do that?

Thanks

The old mandrake cd isn't really going to do anything for you. It most likely just recognized and loaded the proper driver for your camera.

Have you checked and or searched to find out what driver your camera uses so it works in Linux?
