Windows Unable to Start
Hi friends,
I have installed windows 2000,XP and redhat 9 on my system.But the windows OS are unable to start .when i goes to window it says something NTRD is missing hda,0 chainnoverify +1.Please tell me how i solve this problem.waiting for reply............... |
What bootloader are you using?
lilo, grub or WindowsXP? Maybe you can post the config file, that will help. Also post how the drive is partitioned. |
munna_502; question? where & what position is W in relation to RH?
according to bin/bash/ u will have to decide which to use, lilo or grub but not both. also the mbr is a critical choice, most manuals suggest placing mbr in 1st section of hd beginng. then partition drive. suggest & advice; read this 1st: http://tldp.org/HOWTO/HOWTO-INDEX.html open-expand each of these sections for complete detailed information. 4.1 linux os, 4.1.6 bootloader &booting os, 4.1.8 partitions & filessystems. this should help! |
