Windows server dropping AIX samba share

Samba share dropping off !!!

We are mapping our windows server (2000) to our AIX samba server share for file distribution. We are using security=server in our smb.conf file. We are running samba 2.2.3a on AIX 5.2.

This setup works great 90 percent of the time and has ran fine for a long time. However, now the windows server is dropping the share, or not autheticating back to samba correctly every 3 days or so.

The error on the windows side is "unknown user name or bad password." Also it says "windows cannot determine user or computer name; return value is 1326"

The error on the samba side is :
[2004/03/01 14:36:54, 0] passdb/pdb_smbpasswd.c:pdb_getsampwnam(1367)
unable to open passdb database.

When this happens on this particular windows server, we can still get to the samba share from other windows servers or from our local PCs.

HELP !!!!

*** Also so far to fix the problem we reboot the Windows server. This fixes the problem temporarily.
