windows residing on a linux server
Hello all,
I would like to ask if what I need to do is possible. Okay, so I have two linux machines on a local 100mbit LAN network. One is a server with "plenty" of hdd space and the other one is an old laptop. Both are running Debian etch. However, I need to install windows 2k on one of them. So is it possible to install the windows onto the linux server partition and then set up the laptop to dual boot linux(local hdd) and windows (remote server hdd) over the network? If that is possible, can someone guide me through the whole process. Thanks in advance. Regards, -Nikolay Kichuko |
Probably with this method. Depends on the network-card
of the notebook. Cheers, Tink |
Hi Tinkster,
I found out a good explanatory document (http://whitepapers.zdnet.com/abstrac...ag=wpr.popular) I shall try out and will let you know if I have any further queries. Regards, -Nikolay Kichukov |
