windows network

I have samba running fine, but I was wonder if there was a way to look at other windows computers on my network from redhat9 -- not the other way around. Is there a windows network client or something?

LinNeighborhood is usually suggested. KDE uses LISA to browser in Konqueror.

You don't need LinNeighborhood; smbclient functions are built into the file manager app in Red Hat 9's implementation of Xwindows.

Just click on "Network Servers" from the start menu. The first time you run it, it will probably be abysmally slow to discover all your workgroups, servers, services, etc.

Alternatively you can type smb:/// in the file manager slot.

LinNeighborhood, if correctly configured, can be much faster, so you still might want to try it. But it requires configuration and it is kind of old...
