Window Maker stole X
Ok, I was playing around with Kde, Fluxbox, Window Maker, etc. trying to figure out which one I liked best...but after I started Window Maker, I couldn't not start it!!! I was changing the xinitrc link. I now have xinitrc linking to xinitrc.kde but Window Maker starts when I run startx. What is going on? How do I go back to kde?

Can you post the contents of /etc/X11/xinitrc (I think the path is correct) and ~/.xinitrc?

Ok sorry...I didn't realize that twm made a local .xinitrc file.
I got rid of that and everything works fine now. |
Sorry by local file I meant I didn't realize it had changed/created .xinitrc in my user directory.
I'm using Slack10, so the proper path was /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc Just thought I'd clear up what I meant in my previous post. I'm not using the .xinitrc file in my home directory right now...should I for kde? |
Not sure, I've only ever messed around with ~/.xinitrc.
