Window Maker 0.80.2 Compilation Problem on Redhat 9

I found KDE and GNOME too slow on Red hat 9.0 and downloaded the Window Maker's source package for installation. While compiling, I get the following error message :
. . .
checking for stdlib.h... (cached) yes
configure: creating ./config.status
config.status: creating Makefile
config.status: creating po/Makefile
config.status: error: cannot find input file: po/

Please help!

The source builds fine for me and the file is there. No problems.
Did you get the source bz2 or tarball directly from the website?

Anyway, there are precompiled binaries for RedHat and Fedora here:
