win98
 
I installed Linux recently but I have decided to reinstall windows 98 but when it boots up it doesnt read the windows cd. Can someone help me?

Is it 98se? because I don't think that's bootable, or maybe it's the original 98... or maybe both... Anyway, what you'll need to do is make a windows boot disk, that'll probably mean going to someone else's windows system and doing it from their computer (My Computer, Floppy properties, format, check "make dos boot disk," probably), or you could put the win98 cd in your drive and use DosBox (http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/) to run that floppy formatter on the cd, OR, if you are really adventurous you could try to run the win98 install from dosbox... But you'd need a free partition and lots of patience for that to work, I'd expect.

PS: Why are you abandoning poor Torvalds?

EDIT: Also, do you have the CD set as the first boot device in your BIOS?
