Or you could just use VMWare and solve you're whole problem
At least until you get more experienced. I use VMWare to run XP under Linux (the opposite of what you want to do) and it rocks.. I can do anything. They have the same for Windows .. you can run Linux in a VM under XP or whatever version you want.
I know I'll probably get flamed for mentioning this, but oh well.. that's another option you can look into, if you get tired of messing with dual booting all the time.
