Win-apps on Linux

I read somewhere that at one of the recent LINUX expos in California a commercial app was announced that guarantees running all windows applications under Linux. Is this tru?

If so what is the name of this app. and where can one get it?

The closest free thing that you will get to that is Wine. Wine is a Linux program that serves as a virtual Win-API that runs on X. It's free, but don't make the mistake of thinking every Windoze program will run on Wine, because it won't. Not even commercial applications that cost hundreds of dollars can guarentee every program will run on them flawlessly. If your looking into games, what you want is Cedega, formally known as WineX. Unlike Wine, Cedega isn't free. However, it does support some very big titles (see them all here). Hope this helps.

EDIT: If you're looking for a more commercial solution you can try Win4Lin, or if you want to simulate an entire Windoze system (as appossed to just the API) you can use VMware. You might also want to try CrossOver Office if your willing to dish out some cash. It has excellent support for apps like MS Office, Photoshop, iTunes, Dreamweaver and more. See the full list here.
