Will it slow down/hold the running process

Hi,
I login as a normal user to Red hat. Every time after about more than 10 minutes, when I come back, I need to put the password to unlock my session. Will this slow down the running process as I am setting up a suite in that? Or will it hold the installation of that? Thanks a lot

The running processes will keep running at heir usual speed.

You might have a very slight decrease while the system checks your password and unlocks the screen, but I doubt you (the running processes) will even notice this.

Hope this helps.

If the lock will not slow down anything, then it is really fine. Thanks a lot
