Will Earthlink Dial-Up work in Linux?
 
I have an EarthLink account and I was wonderen if it would work in Madrake 9.0. Any chance of maken it work?

plenty of people in this site seem to be using it without any problems, have a go. assuming it is just another standard dialup then it should work no problems.

Earthlink connection
 
I used Earthlink about 2 years ago. I remember that there was a minor twist to
the way that their dial in sign on routine works. When asked for your user name your software has to reply something like: Earthlink/username

I used earthlink a long time ago and when I logged in thru kppp or the such, I'd have to supply my full email address instead of just my username as the username. Also I believe they use CHAP as their connection script method thru dialup.
