Can anyone help me figure out why I am getting this error message when I am running wildmidi


Initializing Sound System
ERROR: Unable to open /dev/dsp (No such device)

I would appreciate the help

I think you need to install ALSA drivers (www.alsa-project.org). It is the driver (kernel module) that creates this device. You may have OSS installed but it is deprecated. ALSA is emulating OSS.
