Wildcard URL filters for Squid ?

Hi,

As you can tell, I'm just a newbie to linux...

I wish to be able to deny certain URLs from which you don't want your users to reach (say adult web sites form kids in school).

However, it seems that you have to "type the exact destination domain" in the acl lists in order to deny specific sites ONLY !

As you might be aware, there are thousands and thousands of adult sites, therefore the above method doesn't seem practical, is there a way to setup some kind of "wildcard filters" ? Say just deny any URL containing the work "...sex..." ?

Also, are there any "black listed URLs" to be download and updated into Squid ? similar to what we do in antivirus signatures ?

Any help appreciated !

Hi,
Try this website:
http://web.onda.com.br/orso/
Go to 'Blocking porn' link.

Cheers!!

P.S: Don't forget to create files in your squid dir. for the same.
