WII tools on PS3?

any one know much about linux on the PS3?

i was reading http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Devkitppc_setup_(Linux) and was wondering if it were possible to wright homebrew for the wii on a PS3 and if so is there any tutorials around showing how to do it?

You could do it, but I don't know why you would want to. You are going to have better performance building the binaries on a normal x86 desktop than in the PS3's Linux VM.

Even though PS3 Linux is PPC, you would still need to cross-compile for the Wii with the devkitppc toolchain. It isn't like you could use native compiled binaries on the PS3 as Wii programs just because they both use PPC.

well the idea was to find somthing to actually use the PS3 linux for rather than just having it on my PS3 not doing anything.

also would you please explain a little bit more what u mean when you said
