Wierd Keyboard problem
This was a abrupt occuraNce. ONe fiNe day, the "N" oN my KB stopped fuctioNiNg properly. The problem is that I caN get N to be output oNly if the Shift key is also depressed. So with Caps lock oN, it caN get the lowercase; aNd with capslock off I caN get the uppercase.
ChaNgiNg keyboards did Not help. I do Not have a USB KB preseNtly to verify.

Heh. Odd one, eh?
Have you got any special tools installed that allow system
wide hot-keys, have you checked xmodmap, does the problem
occur outside X11 as well as within?

Lets narrow this down further, shall we? =)
Which window managers/desktop environments are affected
by the issue above, what happens if you choose a different
one from your default?
Cheers,
Tink

How about creating a second test user and see how that works? Or install
fluxbox or twm? They're small

The problem is Not seeN iN the other users. ThaNks for the tip.
I guess the quickest way to get back N is through that route.
I was woNderiNg if there is a specific file iN the home directory that coNtrols this behaviour, aNd would deletiNg this file briNg back the default behaviour?

I don't use KDE, so can't really play much with settings. I'd recommend that you have a look through
~/.kde somewhere. Maybe diff recently changed files against the ones from the newly created user?
