Why "yum install qtwebkit.i686" this is not available.
I was trying to configure skype in Redhat linux 6.0. Configured everything but when run
#skype
The following error comes:
/opt/skype/skype: error while loading shared libraries: libQtWebKit.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Then tried to install
#yum install qtwebkit.i686
Output:
No package qtwebkit.i686 available.
Can anybody tell me why this package is not available. and where from i can get the rpm for this?
Login as root
Architecture 32bit.
Thank You

Thank You.
It worked for me.
but the lay out is totally different from skype which i use in windows 7.
That's to be expected. The Linux version of skype is always far behind that of Windows. The current skype version for Linux is: 4.2.0.11 and only a 32 bit version is available. Compare that version with the current Windows version number and your question will be answered.
jdk
I actually found it at nux-dextop repo, for anyone in the future looking for the package. Because of this, I didn't try reinstalling epel, but might, just in case
Thanks for the advice, though!
