Why won't yum uninstall wine on Fedora 5

2.6.15-1.2054_FC5

What I have done:

#yum remove wine

This appeared to work, but wine still has binaries and directories. Most notably, it has not been removed from the applications menu.

Further attempts at the same command yield: No packages marked for removal.

I hope that someone will have an idea for how to remove the binaries and directories without damaging dependencies.

Much thanks,

Fegenbush

you can use alacarte menu editor to remove wine entry from applications menu, and if space is not a problem dont delete anything else.
However if you are very sure about wine specific folders, they can be simply deleted
