why "pidgin" in my xubuntu system does not logging chat history?

in "pidgin" all settings is true.

Have you looked in ~/.purple/logs? http://www.minihowtos.net/pidgin-logs-linux

Yeah. I know, it's hardly intuitive.

yeah..permissions for this folder is 700.

i was changed permissions for this folder to 777.

After that, I open pidgin and nothing has changed.

I hardly ever use Pidgin anymore. I have logging enabled, but no chats to log.

My AIM address is in my profile; if you want to send me a test IM, feel free to do so. I'll post back to this thread whether or not it get logged.
