Why is port 139 not open for smbnt.mod for Medusa-2.1.1

i am running Fedora 16 64bit on root/linux vps. I installed medusa-2.1.1 and installed all the dependencies, when I configured it, i get an error that the Libssh2 path not found, it assumed someting and continued. When i typed 'make' it came up with the error below:

[root@xxxx medusa-2.1.1]# make
make all-recursive
make[1]: Entering directory `/root/medusa-2.1.1'
Making all in src
make[2]: Entering directory `/root/medusa-2.1.1/src'
Making all in modsrc
make[3]: Entering directory `/root/medusa-2.1.1/src/modsrc'
gcc -g -O2 -fPIC -L/usr/local/lib -rdynamic -o afp.mod afp.o medusa-trace.o /usr/lib/libafpclient.so.0 -lncp -lpq -lssh2 -lsvn_client-1 -shared -lcrypto -lrt -ldl -lpthread -lssl -lcrypto -ldl -lrt -lm
/usr/lib/libafpclient.so.0: could not read symbols: File in wrong format
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[3]: *** [afp.mod] Error 1
make[3]: Leaving directory `/root/medusa-2.1.1/src/modsrc'
make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/root/medusa-2.1.1/src'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/root/medusa-2.1.1'
make: *** [all] Error 2

So from here, i couldnt make install.

2. I also wanted to ask, how do i open port 139?
Everytime i try to scan, i get an error that port 139 is not open even on my own linux vps root IP that is alive. Error is as below:

[root@xxxx medusa-2.1.1]# medusa -h 192.168.0.20 -u administrator -e ns -M smbnt -m NETBIOS -n 139
Medusa v2.1.1 [http://www.foofus.net] (C) JoMo-Kun / Foofus Networks <jmk@foofus.net>

ERROR: smbnt.mod: failed to connect, port 139 was not open on 192.168.0.20

Help in these matters will be HIGHLY appreciated

Thanks all for your time

The iptables should be in /etc/sysconfig/iptables; please cat that file.
