Why does my home folder take ages to open when connected to the internet
My system is:
Debian Testing 2.6.7-1-i386 Gnome 2.6 Asus P3 CUSL2-C m'board with 512ram 56k external modem connection Firestarter firewall (wizard basic setup) Spamassassin ClamAV When ever I connect to the internet, my home folder and the other desktop icon links, take ages to open, sometimes up to five minutes. Closing them is the same, with the 'force close' box popping up. When I'm not connected to the internet, there is no problem, they open rapidly. Without removing anything I already have loaded, I thought that someone may be able to tell me what the cause might be. I think back and perhaps this started happening when I installed Firestarter or ClamAV. Thanks for any help. |
Ehehehehehe. I had this probem. :-D
