Why does Konqueror 3.1.1 crash when asked to print on an Epson Stylus Color 600?
 

I am using SuSE Linux 8.2 and Konqueror 3.1.1 as the internet browser. My printer is an Epson Stylus Color 600 inkjet. After going shopping on the internet, when I try to print the final checkout page, Konqueror completely crashes and only the desktop is displayed with a crash message "SIGSEEV". Why is this happening and what can I do about it? Thanks, swved.

My first guess is that this is a bug in Konqueror. You can try a few disgnostic steps.
Try using Mozilla to print the page.
Try using Konqueror to save the page to a file.
Try starting a terminal and then starting Konqueror from the command line. This may give you some meaningful error messages.

If these three tests work OK then I suggest that you send a bug report to KDE with the page attached. Then use Mozilla until KDE gets the bug fixed.

If Mozilla will not print the page (regardless of whether it crashes) then you may have your printer setup incorrectly. Do any other programs have trouble with printing?
