Why do I have a High System CPU Usage Bottleneck

Here is the output of top:

CPU0 states: 18.0% user, 77.3% system, 0.0% nice, 4.1% idle
CPU1 states: 21.5% user, 74.0% system, 0.0% nice, 3.4% idle
CPU2 states: 13.3% user, 81.0% system, 0.0% nice, 5.1% idle
CPU3 states: 28.5% user, 67.2% system, 0.0% nice, 3.3% idle

as you can see, I have 4 CPUs on the same machine that are bogged down by System useage???? What could cause this. The only two services that I have running on this server are NFS and MySQL.

Anyone know what might cause this all of a sudden. I was reading that this can sometimes be caused by NFS. I am still looking into it.

Thanks in advance
