why did KWrite highlight a sentence for me?

In a KWrite file, I just wrote myself a note on where a certain file is, copying and pasting the location from Konqueror's URL box. KWrite then highlighted the sentence in light blue. Why did it do that? I presume it must have been because of the link, but what was the point of highlighting it?

Is it possibly an active link, i.e. does it open that file upon clicking on the light blue text?
