why cannot I install anying with 1-click-install in openSUSE?

Hi. I have opensuse on a live USB and I plan to install it on my new computer. I was testing it on my old laptop and I am unable to install anything with the 1-click-install. Is it because of the live media? Please help. I want vlc. If it is because of live media and will not happen in the full installation then I'll install it. Thanx

Yes, that is the reason. You need to install the OS first.

just my long lived opinion
Using the "one click" is a bad idea
you DO NOT LEARN how to install software

open "yast" and select "install and remove software"
and use that gui

or

in the terminal type in

Code:

su -
zypper se TheProgramName
----- for example -----
zypper se chromium-bsu

---- then from the listing  install it
zypper in chromium-bsu

and
http://software.opensuse.org/package/chromium-bsu
