why can't Leafpad open a file that is a K menu entry?

I like Leafpad, but am annoyed because it won't open a certain file when accessed from the K menu (I made an entry in kmenuedit). When I try to open the file from there, Leafpad opens a blank document. Odder still, it can open that file with no problem from Konqueror.

The command in that menu entry is "leafpad 'media:/sda4/data/notepad.txt'".

You're using the kio plugin syntax for the file location. I'm not sure, but perhaps the menu shortcuts can't access the kio slaves or something. Try using the actual mount point instead, probably "/media/sda4/data/notepad.txt", but it depends on where you have it configured to mount.
