while playing video or audio by command, getting error

Dear all

By using ""gnome-open {name}"" command to play any audio or video file ,Getting message like

Movie Player requires an additional plugin to decode this file

The follwing pluging is required

MPEG-1 Layer 3 (MP3) decoder

Do you want to search for this now ------>two option one is search and other is cancel.

If i click on search then its taking some time for searching after that --->Failed to search plugin.

Pls suggested

Spell out your words. And it's telling you that you don't have the codecs installed to play whatever file type you're looking at...the message is fairly clear. You need to install those codecs, but since you don't tell us what version/distro of Linux you're using, we can't tell you how to proceed.
