Which software can remove bad blocks from the swap partition?
Bad clusters is a problem, but hdd can still live very well n happy.

Afaik, you can figure out what blocks are bad using badblocks and adjusting for them.
There is no repairing them if they're truly bad.

Might be worth checking the vendor's site. E.g. I found that Seagate have 'Seatools', this uses a Dos emulator that will run on any system booting from CD and might fix some problems.

Come on guys.

There is tools for bad blocks for swap. Debian Woody has one, but they drop it cuz no body cares, within Debian about all old machines. They believe that we buy daily a new pc, like microsoft, where you need yearly more ram to run your windows
