Which one is better: Fedora or Ubuntu

I have been using Fedora for about 3 years now and I recently switched to Ubuntu. I got used to fedora and ubuntu seems a bit sloppy. I think my CPU was better managed in fedora and because of SElinux I was feeling a bit safer. Ubuntu is ok because it has more user-friendly interface but I kinda get lost in it. I hate windows and that's why I am not so impressed with the user-friendly interface.

Please share some opinions so I can decide. Thanks

You used them both, so why can't you decide?

Kind regards

I don't trust my own perceptions on the matter. I am subjective. I need some outside input. Fedora seemed to be faster than Ubuntu. Tell me if it is so or it's just my imagination.

Ubuntu makes a lot of modifications/customizations (such as the new Unity interface).
Fedora is more "vanilla" since it follows closer to the upstream.

I am inclined to say fedora also because I can't find my way around the repos in Ubuntu. I was used to the repos in fedora and I could find in them whatever I was looking for. Ubuntu repos seem to have like half or less of the size of the fedora repos. Is this true or should I keep digging ?

Use whichever you prefer. I doubt whether anybody on these forums has measured any differences objectively.

Choosing a Linux distro is all about personal preference, there isn't really any "better" distro.

I like them both. Check out some links in my signature that may help you get familiar with Ubuntu or Debian, which Ubuntu is based on.

Dual-boot. Use both.

So does BEST itself. It is subjective. It needs context and taste. For example lets take Ferrari and Kamaz. Which one is better? None. Ferrari is faster and made for driving but Kamaz is suited for cargo and therefore when it comes to this area it is better suited for task unlike Ferrari.

Yeah, ok, I get it. I was just hoping you guys can tell me some pros and cons about them. Then I could've chosen. Anyway, I will switch back to fedora because I can't make a game work on ubuntu. Plus Steam moves like hell on ubuntu. Even though besides that, I could get used to it.

All you need to know is Fedora won't hold your hand and Ubuntu is made to hold your hand. Also Ubuntu uses apt-get and .deb but Fedora yum and .rpm and clean Fedora install won't have any extra stuff therefore you might consider obtain either "EasyLife" or "AutoPlus" mods for it + it uses latest software so might get unstable sometimes + it has shorter support lifetime.

I have a question. With Fedoraplus I installed all the codecs. In this package I also got xmms with a GUI and everything automated. How can I get the same thing on Ubuntu? I tried to install Ultamatix but the link on their site was dead so I couldn't install it. Any ideas?
