Asking people this question is like asking for the best distro, the best car or the best food: You will get several different answers without any meaning to you. The most popular can be seen when following the link given by brianL, but which is the best for you is something only you can decide.

I am using Konsole. But a problem with it is that when i use scipt command to take log of the commands, the log is made but contains some unreadable characters. I want the log to be in good format (Like that of SecureCRT in windows).
Any solution ??

Your problem isn't terminal related.

This from the script man page:

Script places everything in the log file, including linefeeds and backspaces. This is not what the naive user expects.
I'm guessing you use the wrong tool for the job. You don't mention why you need to capture all the commands so I can only give some general pointers:
- If bash is used you can look at the .bash_history file (which can be tampered with),
- Have a look at rootsh.
