If you want an exact copy of the DVD with special features and playable on a DVD player I would highly recommend K9Copy. Otherwise if you just want the movie in say .avi or .ogg format then use either AcidRip or DVD:Rip.

I've tried a lot of them, but I've found the most reliable to be just 'vobcopy' plus 'ffmpeg' ... manually. If you want a GUI, the best one I found is OGMRip, but it's not as good as doing it manually.

I agree OGMrip has been the best I've used.
