Question Which is Better: Apache+SSL vs mod_ssl

After browseing boths sites regarding these packages for a secure layer-able apache solution... and after seeing that both sites points their finger and laughs at the other in a childish manner without giving true facts as to why THEY claim to be the best...

I come here to ask a poll... which is better?

I'm just trying ot find out if I should reinstall apache to apache+ssl ... because the RedHat 7.3 already installed Apache with mod_ssl fine and dandy. Seeing if there is a "real need" to go to the other route.

Options tend to be useless in many cases with server type software. Because if it works the way you need it, why pile on tons of options? Heh. For a webserver, basically all you need to do is set a virtualhost to be SSL secure with a cert made and signed by a cert signing company. Don't need anything else to make things overly complex for what it is.
