Smile Which indent variable gives perfect indent in vim ?

Hello Folks,

Of the different env variables for indenting available in vim, such as autoindent, cindent, smartindent etc, which one is perfect for c programming ? Currently i am using smartindent but it gives too much indentation.

Thanks in advance..

You will never get a perfect answer, there is no such thing: perfect indentation.
You need to configure your own preferences, and you can find a lot of tips on the net: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...indent-488750/
