Unhappy Which distro is free

Sir/Madam

I am in total confusion about linux, as a new bee, can you please solve my following queries.

1) Whether i can install redhat/fedora/madrake for my clients without charging a single $ (i mean i want to know whether this OS is paid ?)
2) Which is the stable linux distro for installing softwares developed in qt designer?
3) Is QTdesigner (trolltech) is free can i use this tool for creating softwares? and sell? (and how? with code/without code)

In simple I want to use a free linux distro which i can install to my clients for free of cost, and want to develop softwares for my client using free development tools like qtdesigner. i think it is free is it?

Awaiting for answer, can you help me sir.

In order to use redhat, you now must pay. You can use Redhat 9 and previous releases free of charge. Fedora is completely free. Mandrake should be free unless something has changed.

If you are using QT to develop commercial software thats not GPL then I am sure you have to pay a licence. The best place to look for information regarding qt licensing is trolltech.com.

"Free" means it is open-source and the source is free of restrictions to modification, etc. Under this definition, the basic RHEL system is free. All Linux distros must be free. That means you can take the source and compile it yourself; and people have -- CentOS is a rebuild of RHEL is identical to RHEL (except the RedHat logos and support) and it is freely distributed and downloaded.
