Which distribution on P2 machine?

I have a P2 machine with 64 MB RAM. Which linux distribution should I install?

Vector, DSL, Slackware, ... don't expect to have fun with
X and a full-blown DE, though. Fluxbox, iceWM, fvwm
and the likes may be an option. Make sure to give it plenty
of swap-space, I'd go with 128, probably even 256MB.

You can go for any distro but things you need to be sure of not to install Xserver (GUI) & try to have minimal installations possible. Like install what you really need.

RAM is not a problem , increase the SWAP space. I'll also go for 256 MB.

from my experience Slack works best with old PCs... DSL is small in volume, but it lacks many features that are in other distros, and don't take a lot less memory and CPU then debian itself...
i'll go with Slack with fluxbox

dude try gentoo, it compiles everything from source and it doesnt put a bunchof unwanted packages on there.

compiling a whole OS from source on a P2 isn't really such a good idea
o.o

Why's that? Surely won't take longer than a few months ...

:D
