Question Where to Get Client Packages


I need client packages for RHEL 5.1 where to download those packages as an iso format . plz

I think you'll need to be more specific. What sort of "client packages" are you looking for? For example: what program or perhaps protocol?

Additionally, packages for RHEL would usually be in rpm format. Installation media would more commonly be in the form of an iso.

Why not ask Redhat ? That's what you pay them for.

You do not download (system) packages, when using Linux.
The "Package Manager" / the yum command is used.

And if you're not paying for a support subscription to RedHat,
don't expect RH EL 5 to be usable.
Installing the free copy = CentOS 5.4 is a much better idea.

just say me the best yum repository for RHEL 5.1 where i can use it for all packages

Redhat EL 5.x is a propitiatory OS, and the only way
to have access to the repositories, is to get Redhat
support : https://www.redhat.com/apps/support/

'CentOS 5.4' and 'Scientific Linux SL 54' are identical
free copies of Redhat EL 5.4 .

if i am installing any software ,it asks for additonal libraries, where i can get those libraries

i thought RHEL was a commercial distribution? If you need software for it you would want to contact Red Hat.
