SuSE doesn't offer its most recent version for download in .iso format. You can install it directly from FTP though, if you have a fast connection. The best place to download distributions is www.linuxiso.org . Check out their SuSE section. It'll explain everything.

ftp.oregonstate.edu/pub/suse/

They should have a complete mirror. Not that hard to find.

www.suse.com and follow the links

Exclamation no it aint

Straight from the horse's mouth:

The boxed version is available now from PC World, Amazon, our own web site
www.suse.co.uk and other places. We normally place each version on FTP
about 6-8 weeks after initial release.

So I wouldn't bother checking on any ftp servers just yet (the official release
date for SuSE 9 was the 24th of October).

Cheers,

Jon.
