where to download libc.so.6 (GLIBC-2.4)-64-bit

On 11.3 I quite happily loaded and used Scribus, now I've updated to 11.4 I'm getting the error message that Scribus cannot be installed due to a missing libc.so.6(GLIBC)-2.4) 64bit.

In 12.1 Apper falls to pieces when I try and load Scribus and the other 47 files to go with it.

If you go to RPM Search and put libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.4) in the search field, check Open Suse for the distribution and hit search. You'll find the link posted below. Click on the package highlighted in red to get download link and information such as dependencies.

BTW: Through rpm man pages, you should be able to figure out how to run query commands to figure out which package provides what the installer says it needs. Myself, it's been years since I used an RPM based distribution, I seemed to prefer using RPM search web site for lack of reading man pages and learning the proper query commands. And besides, it seems to be easier to figure everything out via RPM Search web site with their links to tons of info compared to running multiple commands.

Thanks Brains

Started using rpm search myself, but am finding the domino effect as one rpm package seems to require another to complete.
Now a long way from SuSe, with suggested downloads from Centos, RedHat, Fedora, White Box and Scientific Linux.

Whoops - doggy-paddle back to shore.
