Where to adjust Xine's volume in Alsamixer (using TB Santa Cruz)

Hi all,

I am currently using Turtle Beach Santa Cruz sound card. It truly is a great card with superb sound quality. I use two outputs: headphones and line-out (connected to my external amplifier). Now if I want to change the output from the let's say headphones to the amplifier, I do not seem to manage to adjust volume from Alsamixer but I have to change the places of the jacks in the back of the sound card.

The problem occurs in Xine and is a bit annoying. TB provides Windows users with a control panel. Any similar Linux inventions available?

All the ideas and help is highly appreciated.

Thanks,

p_finn

I have been looking for the same thing. If you are running KDE, the Kmix program should be able to do what you want, if I understand you correctly. Other desktops probably have a similar sound control program, but I don't know for sure.

Good luck!
