Where is the right place to install svn (subversion) repositories?
Hello everyone,
Could anyone tell me where is the "right" place to install subversion repositories? I seem to recall from my Unix days (and it's been a while since I had to think about these issues!) that /var is the preferred place for program variable data. But doesn't /var get cleaned out with each boot? Is /var appropriate for "permanent data" such as an svn repository or a database? If not, where is the "right" place to put my repositories? Many thanks in advance.... |

/usr/src or /usr/local/src or just /home is where I would put them.
