Where is scantv????

Since I have a TV card I happen to use XawTV program for watching TV on my computer.
I have compiled latest version which is 3.88 and noticed that it is missing neat little utility caled scantv which is used for automatic scanning for available channels.

Earlier versions 3.5x, 3.6x ( not sure ) had it when I compiled xawtv but newew 3.7x, 3.8x are missing it.

Does anyone knows where is scantv or why it isn't anymore part of xawtv???
