I've installed an RPM Package, and it asks me if I want it to install or not. I respsonse install and later I was told that it was installed. However, how coul I open it and what is the path ?
I haven't used rpm in many years, but I believe you can do something like "rpm -q -l package.rpm" to see a list of files in the package. You could look through (or grep) the list to see where the binary file "realplay" is supposed to be installed and verify that it isn't.
whereis search is quite limited, you can also try locate realplay (and if you're sure you've installed the thing you're looking for, just run updatedb)
/usr/local/RealPlayer is where realplayer is installed by the rpm. You should be able to just start it by entering "realplay" in the command line or creating an icon or menu entry pointing to /usr/local/RealPlayer/realplay.
