where is Leafpad? what repository?

Having just upgraded to MX-19 because I had no choice (support ended), I noticed that Leafpad is missing. I know MX has replaced it with Featherpad. I just don't care, and want my Leafpad back anyway. Not interested in discussing how nice Featherpad is, at this time. I can't find it in the repositories. Where is it--I mean what repository--if I want to take the trouble to find it? Assuming it's in any repository. I know I could download the tar.gz if I wanted to bother.

Well, Leafpad was dropped from Debian and, consequently, from its derivatives, but Mousepad is in the MX repo. They should be similar.

Leafpad is available in a Debian package from an older version:
https://packages.debian.org/stretch/...afpad/download
or you could always compile it yourself
http://savannah.nongnu.org/download/...-0.8.17.tar.gz

over here

Code:
harry@biker:~
$ apt-cache policy leafpad
leafpad:
  Installed: 0.8.18.1-5
  Candidate: 0.8.18.1-5
  Version table:
 *** 0.8.18.1-5 500
        500 https://mirror.us.oneandone.net/linux/distributions/mx/packages/antix/buster buster/main amd64 Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
antix repo I think is included in MX sources.list. Just uncomment. Update. Install. Comment repo back out. Update agtain. All can be done in synaptic.
